Post-Construction Cleaning Questions
What does post-construction cleaning include?
It depends on the phase. A rough clean during construction clears bulk debris and knocks down heavy dust so trades can keep working. The final clean removes drywall and sanding dust from every surface, fixture, and vent, cleans glass and frames, details restrooms and break rooms, and prepares floors for finishing. A touch-up clean right before occupancy handles fingerprints, settled dust, and anything disturbed after the final walk.
What is the difference between rough, final, and touch-up cleaning?
Rough clean happens mid-project after major installation, focused on debris and trash-out so the site is safe and workable. Final clean is the detailed, top-to-bottom cleaning that gets the space presentable for the punch list and inspection. Touch-up is a light pass just before move-in to remove any dust or marks that reappear after other trades finish. Many Los Angeles County projects use all three; some only need the final and touch-up.
How do you handle all the drywall and construction dust?
Drywall dust is fine and travels into vents, ledges, and finishes, so we work top-down and use HEPA and wet/dry vacuums rather than just pushing it around. We detail high ledges, light fixtures, diffusers, window tracks, and trim, then wipe surfaces and clean floors last so settled dust is captured instead of stirred back up.
Can you work around our general contractor and project schedule?
Yes. We coordinate with general contractors, property managers, and tenants to phase our crews around the build — rough cleaning between trades, the final clean before the punch list, and touch-up before hand-off. We can also work nights and weekends across Los Angeles County to hit an opening or inspection date.
Are your crews licensed, insured, and bonded for a jobsite?
Ironcrest is licensed, insured, and bonded, and our cleaning staff are background-checked. If your GC or building requires a certificate of insurance, site safety orientation, or specific badging and access procedures, we handle that before our crew steps onto the site.
How much does post-construction cleaning cost?
Post-construction cleaning is quoted per project, not a flat rate, because pricing depends on square footage, which phases you need, how much debris and dust is present, floor and finish types, window count, and the turnaround date. We walk the site and send a written proposal with a clear scope for each phase.
